ABOUT OUR QUEENS:
Extensive research has revealed multiple traits that makes Russian honey bees more resistant to the varroa mite more than other bees. Three of the more common traits identified in the Russian honey bees were VSH (Varroa Sensitive Hygiene), grooming and brood reduction during decreased honey flow. This is a key factor to breaking the varroa mite life cycle. Our queens are produced from Russian survivor stock and they are the key to any beekeepers success.
Shipping: We ship only on Tuesdays when queens are available and ship via USPS Priority Mail. The US postal service Priority Mail Flat Rate shipments are automatically insured from $50 up to $100.
